GREAT BABYLON IS A CITY AND A RELIGION

REV17:1-5 GREAT BABYLON SITS ON THE BEAST AND ON MANY WATERS.

THE BEAST is the anti christ. REV13:11-18

THE MANY WATERS are people from nations of the world. REV17:15

GREAT BABYLON is a religion.

REV17:4-5 “MOTHER OF HARLOTS”, “her fornication”
Babylon having fornication and being mother of harlots implied a religious act of idolatry, thus it is a religion.

HARLOTRY OR WHOREDOM IS AN ACT DESCRIPTIVE ALSO OF IDOLATRY, AND IDOLATRY IS A RELIGIOUS ACT.

Ezk 16:17-20 “Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee,

AND MADEST TO THYSELF IMAGES OF MEN AND DIDST COMMIT WHOREDOM WITH THEM,

And tookest thy broidered garments, and coveredst them: and thou hast set mine oil and mine incense before them.

My meat also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, [wherewith] I fed thee, thou hast even set it before them for a sweet savour:

and [thus] it was, saith the Lord GOD.

Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Is this of thy whoredoms a small matter.”

Great babylon sitting on the beast and on many waters implied an association between them, an organized group having the beast as leader and the waters as it’s members and great babylon as the religion.

BEAST AS LEADER.

REV13:2,11-12 AND THE BEAST WHICH I SAW WAS LIKE UNTO A LEOPARD…AND THE DRAGON GAVE HIM HIS POWER AND HIS SEAT AND GREAT AUTHORITY…

and I beheld another beast…and he exercise all the power of the first beast before him, AND CAUSE THE EARTH AND THEM WHICH DWELL THEREIN TO WORSHIP THE FIRST BEAST…

Obviously, the beast is the leader–the worshipped leader–and bec great babylon sits on it, it means, the beast is the leader in the great babylon and if great babylon is a religion then it suggests that the beast is the leader of the organized religion.

HOW CAN I PROVE FURTHER THAT GREAT BABYLON IS A RELIGION?

GOD and his armies destroy the people and the literal city called great babylon. The beast likewise destroys great babylon. Which great babylon did the beast destroy if god and his armies destroy the people and the land great babylon? It left us with no choice, the only possible way, that the beast could have destroyed anything is, if great babylon symbolizes another thing than the literal city.  Logically, great babylon symbolizes two things, religion and literal city, for the beast to have destroyed anything, bec if great babylon is a literal city only then what would the beast destroy, when it is God who destroy the literal city?

BEAST DESTROYS GREAT BABYLON.

REV 17:16

GOD AND ARMIES DESTROY GREAT BABYLON.

REV18:8, 17-18,21 she shall be utterly destroyed by fire FOR STRONG IS THE LORD GOD THAT JUDGE HER…for in one hour so great riches is come to nought and every shipmaster and all the company in ships and sailors and as many as trade by sea stood afar off, AND CRIED WHEN THEY SAW THE SMOKE OF HER BURNING, SAYING, WHAT CITY IS LIKE UNTO THIS GREAT CITY…THUS WITH VIOLENCE SHALL THAT GREAT CITY BABYLON BE THROWN DOWN AND SHALL BE FOUND NO MORE AT ALL.

That cannot be done by the beast, to topple a city and makes it to be never found. It’s only by God.
ARMIES OF GOD ALSO DESTROYS BABYLON, INCLUDING THE PEOPLE.

ISAIAH 13:3-5, 9 I have commanded my sanctified ones…they come from a far country, from the end of heaven…TO DESTROY THE WHOLE LAND (babylon)…TO LAY THE LAND DESOLATE AND HE (God) SHALL DESTROY THE SINNERS OUT OF IT.

IS THERE ANY POSSIBILITY THAT BEAST AND ARMIES OF GOD SHOULD HAVE ALLIED TO DESTROY THE LAND?

No. They are enemies, Thus the beast is in no way part of those that destroy the literal city great babylon. God and the beast are enemies. They cannot work together.

REV19:19 AND I SAW THE BEAST AND THE KINGS OF THE EARTH AND THEIR ARMIES GATHERED TOGETHER TO MAKE WAR AGAINST HIM (jesus Christ) THAT SAT ON THE HORSE AND AGAINST HIS ARMY.

God cannot make good and evil join together for one purpose. It cannot be that God let the beast and his armies together with god`s armies join together to destroy babylon.

2COR 6:15 FOR WHAT FELLOWSHIP HATH RIGHTEOUSNESS WITH UNRIGHTEOUSNESS? And what communion hath light with darkness?…WHAT PART HATH HE THAT BELIEVE WITH AN INFIDEL?

Meaning, the beast did not destroy the literal city great babylon bec it was God’s armies who did it and because the beast cannot ally with God’s armies for that purpose. If great babylon is not a religion, which great babylon did the beast destroy?

GOD DESTROYS THE LAND AND THE PEOPLE, WHICH IS LEFT FOR THE BEAST TO DESTROY?

NONE.

ONLY IF BABYLON IS A RELIGION, THEN, IT HAS SOMETHING ALSO TO DESTROY.

Revelation 17:16

[16]And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

Logically, great babylon is also a religion for the beast to have something to destroy. Why cannot be Great babylon a religion? It is the mother of harlots–an idolatrous entity?
