Bart ehrtman, scholar, said noone can prove that jesus rose from the dead.
Youre wrong, sir. God did already.
BY THE FULFILLMENT OF HIS PROPHECY REGARDING THE MATERIALIZATION OF THE BIBLE.
How did the bible become one document?
The collection of 5,800 greek manuscripts of the new testament and with the existing hebrew text of the old testament, were put under the process of textual criticism to determines the correct text from the wrong ones, thereby producing an authoritative text regarded as divine scriptures through the process of canonization.
HOW WAS THE OLD TESTAMENT CAME TO BEING?
The Masoretic Text is widely used as the basis for translations of the Old Testament in Protestant Bibles, and in recent years (since 1943), for some versions of Catholic Bibles. In modern times the Dead Sea Scrolls have shown the Masoretic Text to be nearly identical to some texts of the Tanakh dating from 200 BCE but different from others. The 2000-year-old En-Gedi Scroll, found in 1970 but which had not had its content reconstructed until recently, found that the Book of Leviticus text in the En-Gedi scroll is 100% identical to the Hebrew text of the Book of Leviticus in the Masoretic Text. The En-Gedi scroll is the first time a biblical scroll has been discovered in an ancient synagogue’s holy ark, where it would have been stored for prayers, and not in desert caves like the Dead Sea Scrolls.
The Masoretic Text was primarily copied, edited and distributed by a group of Jews known as the Masoretes between the 7th and 10th centuries CE. Though the consonants differ little from the text generally accepted in the early 2nd century (and also differ little from some Qumran texts that are even older), it has numerous differences of both greater and lesser significance when compared to the manuscripts of the Septuagint, a Greek translation (about 1000 years older than the MT made in the 3rd to 2nd centuries BCE) of the Hebrew Scriptures that was in popular use in Egypt and Israel (and was used in the quotations in the New Testament, especially by Paul the Apostle).
HOW DID THE NEW TESTAMENT CAME TO BEING?
The New Testament is an anthology, a collection of Christian works written in the common (Koine) Greek language of the first century, at different times by various writers, who were early Jewish followers of Jesus, and the modern consensus is that it also provides important evidence regarding Judaism in the first century AD. In almost all Christian traditions today, the New Testament consists of 27 books. The original texts were written in the first and perhaps the second centuries of the Christian Era, in Greek, which was the common language of the Eastern Mediterranean from the Conquests of Alexander the Great (335–323 BC) until the Muslim conquests in the 7th century AD. All the works that eventually became incorporated into the New Testament are believed to have been written no later than around 150 AD,[better source needed] and a small minority of scholars would date them to no later than 70 AD.[better source needed] John A. T. Robinson, Dan Wallace, and William F. Albright dated all the books of the New Testament before 70 AD. Others give a final date of 80 AD, or at 96 AD.
HOW WAS THE BIBLE BECOME ONE BOOK?
The 39 books of the Old Testament form the Bible of Judaism, while the Christian Bible includes those books and also the 27 books of the New Testament. This list of books included in the Bible is known as the canon. That is, the canon refers to the books regarded as inspired by God and authoritative for faith and life. No church created the canon, but the churches and councils gradually accepted the list of books recognized by believers everywhere as inspired.
It was actually not until 367 AD that the church father Athanasius first provided the complete listing of the 66 books belonging to the canon.
He distinguished those from other books that were widely circulated and he noted that those 66 books were the ones, and the only ones, universally accepted.
The point is that the formation of the canon did not come all at once like a thunderbolt, but was the product of centuries of reflection.
These realities, the collection of old and new testament as one canonical book or writing or document is the fulfillment of what god foretold years before, as he said in the following verses below:
Seek ye out of the SEPHER (writing or book or document) of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them (the writings)
As we can see the SEPHER of god, a singular writing, was a collection of gathered writings, implying manuscripts as it say,
AND HIS SPIRIT IT HAS GATHERED THEM
that is realized when the biblical manuscripts were gathered, as one SEPHER (writing) through the process of canonization. This is as a fulfillment of his prophecy in ISAIAH 34:16 which prophecy has been supported by other promises such as:
But thou, O LORD, shalt endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations.
This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.
I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.
The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
Logically, by these promises, that god would be remembered unto all generation through written scriptures and his counsel meant to all generation, certifies no other way, than through the collection of relevant manuscripts of divine origin testifying of himself, which collection has historically been realized when the bible materialized as one writing as fulfillment of isaiah 34:16, the gathering of various writings as one sepher or one writing….
There was no other historical records when divine scriptures were gathered as one sepher but only the bible.
IT PROVES THE PROPHECIES CORRECT THEREFORE PROVING THE BIBLE AS TRUE.
There was no other written scriptures from the time of jesus to the present that was meant for the remembrance of god through all generation than the bible.
These fact, the fulfillment of the collection of the bible as means, by way of its written text, for god to be remembered and praised through all generation, WHICH BY ITS FULFILLMENT, is an assurance of the divine and authoritative power of the bible as reliable source of divine truth,
The fulfillment of the prophecy proves the divine truthfulness of the bible, bec such miracle cannot be disregarded as unreliable bec it was supernatural. It testifies of one thing, the god that promised those speaks truthfully, in regards verifying the bible as truth, the fulfillment of the prophecies verify the bible as THE SEPHER OF THE LORD, therefore a book of truth,
Rationally, putting the bible as true information, thereby attesting to the veracity of its contents such as jesus rising from the dead, likewise attesting the veracity of its gospel writers and basically all bible writers and the bible as a whole.
Thus, we can say,
Jesus rising from the dead is reality beyond the shadow of the doubt.
