PROVING ST. IGNATIUS, POLYCARPH AND THE CHURCH FATHERS AS HERETICS

Catholics whenever they have to prove that they are the true church would often boast that they are the continuation of the apostolic ministry. They would boast an alleged connection to the apostles through the church fathers and frequently as possible, they would provide their evidence such as St. Ignatius and Polycarph, bishops of the catholic church, as having direct connection to the true church as they were disciples of apostle John.

On my part, I would erode that position by showing that Ignatius and Polycarph though they were the disciples of John have turned apostates. They were heretics, so as Paul has testified that they were wolves that came in and out the church to take disciples for themselves.
Ac 20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

Ac 20:30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
2Pt 2:1 . But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even contradicting the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2Pt 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

2Pt 2:3 . And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
Why did I say that Ignatius and Polycarph were heretics and the whole catholic church as anti-christ?

Simply bec they were anti-apostolic.

How?

They practiced heresy such as the Eucharist.

How do they practiced it?

They do it literally. Literal bread and wine, and multiple cups for their multiple priests.

What is the biblical way?

Spiritual.

Lk 22:17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide [it] among yourselves:

Lk 22:19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake [it], and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.

Lk 22:20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup [is] the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
THIS DO IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME.

Which do we do in remembrance of Jesus?

Eating bread and drinking from the cup.

Is that literal?

No. Paul in his explanation, implied it as spiritual. How?

Only one cup, the cup that jesus used, is to be used for all disciples.

If there is a million disciples, the million would use one cup only, the cup that jesus used, which is unrealistic.

Besides, where is the cup now?

1C 11:23 . For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the [same] night in which he was betrayed took bread:

1C 11:24 And when he had given thanks, he brake [it], and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

1C 11:25 After the same manner also [he took] the cup, when he had supped, saying, THIS CUP (one cup only)  is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink [it], in remembrance of me.

1C 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.
“THIS CUP (one cup only)  is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink [it], in remembrance of me.”
“For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink THIS CUP (the cup that jesus used) ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come”
Which cup do we drink from in remembrance of him?

THIS CUP. THE CUP THAT JESUS USED.
So if we take it literally, Christians should drink from one cup only, the cup which jesus used, which is physically impossible, having millions to drink from one cup which is as I said, unrealistic. The only way we should explain it is, if we take it from a spiritual view.
Bec how could one cup satisfies the million/s Christians around the globe, which jesus oblige to drink in that one cup?

It only means, the cup is spiritual. And having it as spiritual, the whole scenario of the eucharist must inevitably be, spiritual. If the cup that contains the wine is spiritual therefore it follows that the wine it contains is spiritual. And so likewise the bread.

By this clear proof, we conclude, that the core belief of the eucharist as shared by catholics, from Ignatius and polycarph to the present, is a clear testament of heresy.

Thus safely, we can say, Ignatius and polycarph being church fathers, the pioneers of catholic Eucharist, the predecessors of the catholic bishops and popes are proven heretics.

THEY WERE AS PAUL SAID, ARE WOLVES!

So how can you catholics claim as the true church emanating from the apostles, when this reality, disproves you? You are fake!
